The LumoScanner captures detailed visual, geometric, thermographic and positional data in just 2 seconds per room to create a complete and reliable digital 3D representation of a building.
It seamlessly syncs with the Lumoview app to transfer all collected data to the LumoCloud. If an internet connection is unavailable, the scanner securely stores the data until it is reconnected.

Simplified 3D CAD Model
The simplified 3D CAD model provides basic building data with standardized elements and some simplifications. These models are ideal for energy simulations, energy consulting, facility management and initial refurbishment planning work such as cost calculations.

Architectural 3D CAD Model
Our LumoScanner captures detailed data, room by room, to create a comprehensive 3D-CAD architecture model. Optionally, the building’s exterior can be thoroughly documented using drone flights. Available in various Levels of Detail (LOD), our 3D-CAD model adapts flexibly to your specific requirements—perfect for complex planning and in-depth building analyses.

Detailed interior and exterior modeling with doors, windows, stairwells, roof structures and other possible elements such as technical building equipment (TBE).

Creating floor plans enables precise and customizable 2D layouts, ideal for property management, leasing, and real estate transactions. Whether simple layouts or detailed architectural plans are needed—Lumoview covers a wide range of requirements.

Integration of doors, windows, wall thicknesses, room stamps, area calculations (DIN 277, GIF, WoFlV, etc.) and optional furnishing plan.

Room Book
The Room Book service provides a comprehensive overview of all rooms and floors in a building, supporting efficient management and maintenance. Area calculations are carried out according to industry standards such as DIN 277 or GIF and include room heights, technical equipment, and additional details.

Object- and floor-level overview, including technical elements such as radiators or HVAC systems.

Thermal Analysis
Using the 360° thermal imaging camera of the LumoScanner, comprehensive thermal analyses are conducted to identify potential structural issues in buildings. The thermal images highlight critical areas such as thermal bridges, water damage, or damp spots.

Lumoview was founded by Dr.-Ing. Arne Tiddens, Dr.-Ing. Silvan Siegrist and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernhard Hoffschmidt as a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Lumoview is dedicated to revolutionizing data delivery for existing buildings through a patented technology that enables fast and reliable digitization of real estate. This innovative approach helps owners and service providers to efficiently digitize buildings, optimizing both operational efficiency and energy consumption.
The LumoScanner captures detailed interior data of a building in just 2 seconds per room, making digitization fast and easy. The LumoCloud then automatically processes this data into a 3D model and other usable data. The results are then delivered on the LumoWorld platform in the cloud, centralized and accessible at any time.

The Lumoview measurement app allows a building’s floor plan to be tagged with room labels. A room book, if available, can also help ensure accurate localization.
The LumoScanner stores all data during the measurement and transfers it to the Lumoview database once the connection is re-established. Rooms can also be measured without an internet connection.
Yes, alongside DWG, RVT, and IFC files, a PDF document is also provided.
With the self-service option, the LumoScanner is operated independently, meaning the measurement is conducted in-house by you. Alternatively, Lumoview’s Scan Service team handles the measurement on-site.
The LumoScanner is highly user-friendly and operates with just one button. However, a brief on-site introduction is still available if needed.
